Whale watching.- Whale watching tours are available during winter time (December-March) during the whale migration from Alaska, it;s an amazing experience, you can take the tour in the Pier for an affordable price.
Fishing.- Also you can take the tour or rent a boat at the Pier.
Golf.- You can enjoy an amazing golf course at Baja Country Club at the south of Ensenada, or go North for a few 20 minutes to Bajamar, both amazing and challenging Golf courses.
Kayaking.- This sport you can take a tour at La Bufadora
Snorkeling and diving.- Also at La Bufadora or you can take a tour from Ensenada;s pier.
Surfing.- You can take an amazing waves at Playa San Miguel, it's a surfers paradise.
Beaches.- Enjoy Ensenada's beaches like Playa Pacifica, Playa Municipal, Playa El Faro, Estero Beach, Playa La Jolla ( this is one of the best is not so crowded).
Wine tasting.- In the Wine Route (Ruta del vino) in Valle de Guadalupe, San Antonio de las Minas, also in Santo Tomas and Ojos Negros.
Cheese tasting.- In Ojos Negros at Cava de Don Marcelo, an amazing place to visit, take the tour, cheese tasting and have luch.
Hiking and Biking.- At La Sierra de Juarez and Sierra de San Pedro Martir, beautiful alpine mountains, lake and observatory (San Pedro Martir).
Fine Dining.- Ensenada offers a great variety of restaurants for all tastes and budgets, I will place the list of restaurants later in this blog.
Visit historic sites.- Ex-Hotel Riviera de Ensenada, old missions and museums.
Museums.- Museo del Caracol, Cearte, Museo del INAH, Wine Museum in Valle de Guadalupe, Russian Museum (Valle de Guadalupe)
Shopping.- 1st street is known for his many souvenir stores. I personally recommend Monterrey Curios they have a great variety of Talavera plates, sarapes, sombreros, Mexican blankets and more.
Outdoor attractions.- Las Cañadas, is a water park they have a kids playground, pools, zip lines, lagoon with pedal boats, motocross routes, you can practice hiking and biking too, and much more. El Parque del Niño in Valle de Guadalupe is water park too with kids playgrounds, pool, and the only zoo in Ensenada.
Nightlife.- Papas & Beer, Papas Sport Bar, Ultramarino ( listen to Takon Machine during the weekends you will have a blast with this guys), Cantina Hussongs and many more.
